Creative Play for Preschoolers

Do your children love to create? Maybe they enjoy imaginative play or learning new things?
Do you want your children to create but hate cleaning up the mess?!?
These sessions are for you!
We’ll explore several different mediums in each session and allow participants to engage and create as they wish and at their own pace.

Creating and playing with art and sensory materials are wonderful for children’s fine motor skills, creativity and expression of self. Participating in classes such as these, can also help them to gain confidence in new surroundings and with new people, follow instructions as well as co-operate and communicate positively with their peers.

Children must be accompanied by an adult for the entirety of the session.

We are currently trialing these sessions in Term 3. Each session is standalone – book for one or all.
If there is demand, we will look at offering more dates/sessions. If you are interested but the dates/times don’t suit, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Tutor:
Dani from Whimsical Creatives
Dani is the Owner/Director of Creativity of Whimsical Creatives. She has a Diploma in Children’s Services and has 17 years experience working in the Early Childhood Industry. Dani also has a current Working With Children Check, First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis training.
She loves helping children explore their creativity at their own pace with no expectations or desired outcomes.

Age/Skill Level:
This workshop is for children aged approximately 2 – 5 years (if your child is slightly younger or older that’s absolutely fine).
There is no skill level required. It is all about introducing children to art and letting them explore their creativity through various media.

Cost:
$22 all inclusive per session.

Once you have booked in, you will receive a manual ‘Confirmation of Booking’ email approximately a week before the workshop which will include a booking reminder plus all the information you need for this workshop (you may need to check your spam or promotions folder as sometimes they end up in there!).

Extra Information Regarding COVID/Illness:
We ask that you remember that we are a small business run by someone with chronic illnesses. Many of our visitors are also immune compromised. Please do not visit the studio if you are unwell. Thank you for your understanding.

•  All our Tutors are experienced in teaching and have many years of experience working with their respective mediums/in their field of expertise – for most of our tutors this is over 15 years experience.
• Dani has a Diploma in Children’s Services and has 17 years experience working in the Early Childhood Industry.
  She also has a current Working With Children Check, First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis training.
• Our workshop sizes are always small with no more than 12 students, but often less.
• We provide a friendly, inviting space and cater for many challenges you may face  (health issues, food intolerances, anxiety, etc, etc.). Many of our students (and some of our tutors) suffer from chronic illness and have special needs. If you have any concerns, please feel free to reach out to Dani who will do her best to help you out;
• We use only high quality materials/products in our workshops and myself and our Tutors are familiar with how these work and can give you accurate information/answers to your questions;
• We are fully insured and there is always someone on site during our workshops who has a Level 2 first aid qualification and asthma management training. All tutors who are working with children have current, valid Working with Children Checks.
