Fine Finishing Polymer Clay Workshop

$60.00 $140.00

Take your polymer clay work to the next level by finishing your work professionally.

Learn the secrets of finishing your polymer clay pieces to achieve the best results with the least amount of work and where to use each finishing technique and why.

Like the look of sanded and buffed polymer clay but find it too much hard work? Let Dani show you how to effectively use sanding materials and what buffing materials to use for the quickest, most effective method of finishing your work to a mirror shine without the use of varnish (or a perfect matte finish if you prefer).

We’ll debunk the theories on varnish – what can you use, what will react with polymer clay (and why).
We will cover finishing your work with liquid polymer clay, renaissance wax and UV/epoxy resins.
We will also cover what you can do before baking to enhance the finish of your pieces and reduce the amount of fine finishing you need to do.

As an added bonus, Dani will share with you her methods for gluing findings to polymer and finishing stud earrings  and findings without the use of glue (polymer only).

There will also be time for you to ask questions and troubleshoot issues you may be having.

PLEASE NOTE: You MUST bring some baked polymer clay work to ‘finish’. Please bring a variety of flat pieces and round pieces and some that you don’t mind ‘experimenting’ with.

Please Note : Photos are to show finishes only. You will not be creating these in class.
