Want to learn more about the world of colour and design?
Join Leanne for her Colour and Design workshop, where you’ll dive deep into the world of color theory and design techniques.

You will learn all about colour theory basics, colour mixing (in various mediums) and Leanne will help you understand some of the language used in this field, such as, ‘complimentary’, ‘analagous’ and ‘triad’ colour schemes, along with ‘hue’, ‘tint’ and ‘shade’, RGB and CYMK plus more! She will also explain the differences between these concepts and how understanding them can help you in your work.

– Learn how to create colour mixes and match colours with practical exercises
– You will create your own tint, tones and shades of your favourite colours
– You will learn how to put cohesive colour palettes together and create your own favourite palettes

Leanne will talk about principles and elements of design and why they are so important in your work, including how they can draw the viewer into your art or turn them away.
These elements and principles of colour and design can be applied to all art forms/mediums including polymer clay, painting (watercolour, acrylic, gouche etc.), interior design, jewellery making plus more.

You will also have some fun and play a game of ‘Hues and Clues’ and Leanne will introduce you to the ‘Color Cube’ by Sarah Renae Clark.

After learning some of the basics of design and colour you will create a work that exhibits your new found knowledge. This piece of art (painting or polymer) will be designed to attract attention and direct or maintain the viewer’s gaze.
