Happy International Women’s Day 💗As many of you

Happy International Women’s Day 💗As many of you know, Whimsical Creatives is an entirely female founded, owned and run business and we celebrate and support women of all ages, ethnicity and backgrounds every day.
We’ve welcomed hundreds of women to our creative community from all walks of life.Some of the greatest things about running this business is hearing how it has changed peoples’s lives - either through creativity or community, or both- and also the people I have met. I talk about how this business is my life and it’s true. Having multiple chronic illnesses limits me in many ways but it also brings me purpose, joy and allows me to meet new people that I wouldn’t otherwise have been able to meet.It took me many, MANY years but I finally feel like I’ve found my people - amazing, supportive and inspiring women who have come into my life through this Whimsical business. And who I now call family.I am loving being able to bring creativity and all that goes with it to a new generation of Whimsical students through our kids and teens classes. Watching bonds form and creativity thrive fills my heart.Here’s just a little snippet of some amazing Whimsical women and the community we’ve built.I will keep supporting and building this community of ours and I’ll hope you will join me.

We’ve added extra mini and half day workshops this semester due to demand.
This week there are four of these being held and today’s was the first - ‘An Introduction to Alcohol Ink Art’.
I had a great time teaching a wonderful group of ladies and I think you’ll agree they did a great job.It’s not too late to come and get creative this week.
Join us tomorrow for Watercolour painting and Saturday morning for sublimation jewellery making.

Our Polymer 101 workshop is on this weekend and we’ve got a few spots left - is one of them yours??If you’ve ever wanted to learn how to work with polymer clay without scrolling through all the noise on YouTube, Instagram and Facebook, trying to work out who is actually an expert and who is a wanna-be giving out false information, this is the workshop for you!We’ll chat all about the different brands of polymer clay (and the pros and cons of each), the basics of working with polymer clay (ie. conditioning, baking etc.), what tools you need (and don’t need!) in your polymer tool kit (and how to save money on these), basic finishing techniques, what glue to use (and how to avoid using glue!!), plus more. Dani will show you how to create some canes that can be used to create jewellery – such as an extruder cane, jellyroll etc. She will also show you the best way to use complex cutters and create bead sets from scratch.You will then create some gorgeous polymer clay beads, components and jewellery. It’s not too late to join us tomorrow for some watercolour painting with Clare from @togandpini .We have two workshops happening that can be taken alone or together.In the morning workshop ‘Basic Watercolour Techniques | Focus on Gum Leaves’ , students will explore the foundations of watercolour in a relaxed, encouraging atmosphere.
This workshop is a great introduction to Clare’s Native Birds in Watercolour workshop also being held on the same day - in the afternoon - where students will be able to build on their watercolour skills.Book into either session alone or come for both and enjoy a day of painting and learning.Can’t make it tomorrow?
