Literally thousands of beads and charms have arrived at the studio this afternoon!I’ll be working late tonight to get them all organised ready for the weekend.
Generally these are only available in store as they don’t last long enough for me to put them online, but if I can get them online in the coming weeks I will.The retail store is open all weekend.

Have you ever wanted to learn how to create your own jewellery?
Come and learn how to design and create your own earrings, pendant/necklace or bracelet from scratch in this fun, creative workshop.Dani has been making jewellery for over 20 years and will show you:- Creating wrapped loops from wire and ready-made headpins;
- How to use headpins;
- How and when to use eyepins;
- How to create loops from wire (no wire looping pliers!);
- What earring hoops/hooks to use;
- How to use bails to create necklaces;
- Creating your own ear wires using spool wire;
- The different metals available and properties/pros/cons of each;
- The different beads/crystals available and properties/pros/cons of each;
- Tools to use to make creating jewellery easier;
- Plus whatever else you would like to know in order to create your own pieces.This is your lesson, so you choose what it is that you’d like to make on the day! Depending on your speed you will likely be able to make several pieces.
Project choice is up to each individual student as is the final result – the photos are just some examples. Go where your creativity takes you!This workshop has been designed for beginners but all skill levels are welcome.
Participants must be 16+, however participants 12+ may attend with a paying adult.This is the last workshop of its kind for 2025 so don’t miss out! Whimsical Creatives (previously The Whimsical Bead) turns 19 today and I can’t quite believe it!
In some ways it seems like a lifetime ago.
In others, it feels like only yesterday.As many of you already know, this business is my life. It is my passion and gives me purpose and, as someone dealing with multiple chronic illnesses throughout most of my life, I really do believe I wouldn’t be here today without it.
And Whimsical Creatives wouldn’t be here without all of you.
So thank you.Thank you for coming on this journey with me. Some of you have been here for over a decade which blows my mind!
But whether you have been here for over 10 years, a few years or only a few weeks, whether you are a digital or in person supporter, please know that I appreciate each and every one of you.
Every workshop booking.
Every order.
Every email.
Every visit.
Every review.
Every referral.
Every follow on socials.
Every message.
Every smile.It’s been a big year for us. Rebranding from The Whimsical Bead to Whimsical Creatives was one of the most nerve wracking business decisions I’ve ever made, but ultimately one of the best.
The studio move has also continued to be wonderful as I’ve continued to meet many new people and share the business with them.
