Tomorrow, Saturday 18th April, is your last chance to learn how to create these beautiful pendants from wire with Alana.Think you’ve done this workshop already? Think again!
Alana has some new techniques for you to learn and add to your wirework repertoire such as besetting within a bail, bail weaving, feature bails plus more.Are you a beginner? No problem.
You’ll start from the basics and walk away with a beautiful pendant (or two) ready to wear.
Throughout the day, you’ll learn:
• Wire fundamentals – understanding gauges, temper, and types of wire best suited for wrapping
• Cabochon selection and preparation – working with shapes, textures, and colours to design harmonious compositions
• Multiple wrapping techniques – securing stones with both structural and decorative wire settings
• Artistic embellishments – adding beads, coils, and flowing wire details
• Finishing touches – forming bails and tips for finishing your piece professionally (ie. no sharp edges).Whilst the stones shown are super sparkly (and will be available on the day), you also have the option of bringing your own flat backed stone or purchases one of our more natural options.Come and have some fun!
