I have been absolutely blown away by the popularity of our plaster pieces and planting painting sessions.
Thank you. Truly.I have had a few people annoyed by the fact that we don’t run our Drop-In plaster painting sessions more frequently and I wanted to address this.
I completely understand your frustration.
However, what you may not know is that I hand pour all of these pieces myself.After 6 months of trialing and testing different plaster mixes, I settled on one that makes the process a little easier for me but each piece is still hand poured, de-moulded, dried, checked for imperfections/quality controlled, sanded and brushed (and drilled, hooks added and packaged if needed) by me (with the help of my wonderful Mum at times).I have moved production down to my house rather than my studio to speed up the process a little, but it does still take time and I won’t compromise on quality.I am also working to produce my own moulds so that the pieces we offer truly are unique to us.So, I apologise if we are not offering as many pieces or sessions as you would like but I won’t apologise for ensuring we are offering you a quality product.
And, if you check the website you’ll see I’ve just added two more drop-in plaster painting sessions.
Add them to your calendar as we do sell out of some pieces very quickly.And finally, thank you all for your support.

I had a lovely lady come into the shop today - conveniently for her, just when I was unpacking our new shipment of beads (so she got first pick of everything!)
As she was browsing, she said to me, “Your beads are so much cheaper than Spotlight….and nicer too. And the service there these days is shocking too!”Yes. Our service will always be better than the big chain stores. Because this business is my life and I believe in everything we stock. Each product is handpicked by myself and I do my best to know everything I can about the products so I can help you choose something suitable for your needs.Our prices are as low as I can go without compromising on service and quality. But, I’ve been in business for 20 years and have been using some of my suppliers for almost that long, hence I get discounts on products that I then pass along to you. No, I don’t have to do that but ethically I feel I need to. Big chain stores don’t do this. This is another reason we don’t do % off storewide sales - I can keep my prices cheaper throughout the year.So next time you need art, craft or jewellery making supplies, I’d love you to try us first. I’ll always do my best to help you out.
……and just FYI, we’ve had thousands of new beads arrive this week and a shipment of tools, stringing materials and findings are due later this week too.

There’s still time to join our ‘Foam Clay Play’ workshop happening tomorrow morning - Monday 6th July.In this ‘Creative Kids’ foam clay session, students will have several techniques demonstrated to them and can then choose what they wish to create.Scroll through to see some of what was made in our last session!Foam Clay/Super Light Clay is an air-dry clay so students will be able to take their creations home immediately.Bookings are essential and can be made via the website or just reach out and we’ll be happy to help you. Book yourself 90 minutes of ‘you-time’ - drop the kids off and go and have a coffee!

If you’re looking for something for the kids to do tomorrow (Sunday 5th July), why not come and create your very own wooden fairy door or mushroom house in the studio. You’ll bring them to life with paint markers, acrylic markers, rhinestones and sparkles and you can even add some moss!Drop in any time from 10.00am until 2.00pm.
Kids and adults all welcome. No bookings necessary.
$7.50 all inclusive.Our retail store will also be open from 10.00am until 3.00pm and we’ve got lots of things to keep the kids busy.

I’ve never done this before but I LOVE these little birdhouses so much, so if you book today and use the code HTH10 you’ll receive 10% off the workshop price.Do your children love to create? Do you love creating with your kids?In this whimsical workshop, students will receive a plain wooden birdhouse to make their own.
Using high quality artists paints, you’ll bring your birdhouse to life and then add some finishing touches using rhinestones, glitter, paint pens…..whatever takes your fancy. We’ll also show you a few paint techniques for decorating should you wish. One side of the roof of this birdhouse is hinged and can also be used as a treasure box.Each will be an individual, unique creation so they may not look like those pictured, but will be a reflection of yours/your child’s imagination and creativity.Finally, you will be able to ‘adopt’ a little bird for your birdhouse to take home!Tomorrow - Saturday 4th July - from 10.00am until 12.00noon.
